World Of Wolf June 26, 2000
Howdy everybody and welcome to the second installment of the World Of Wolf. This column is actually a rewrite since the column I wrote last night mysteriously disappeared. I would like to thank those who have given me feedback on the initial column and hope you enjoy this one and continue to give me feedback on ideas of what to write about and your thoughts for the column in general. If this is your first foray into the World Of Wolf, I welcome you and if you have any feedback or questions, please email me at the address below.
WWF's King of the Ring was last night and while so far I've only seen the Benoit match (big surprise), everyone I talked to said it was a great show and I look forward to seeing the rest of it. Raw should be strong tonight and with the possibilty of some new twists and angles on the horizon, I'm sure they will have a good run throught the summer months.
As for WCW, well, they are still there. Honestly, I've only followed it via internet and haven't seen too much. Maybe I will have to catch the replay tonight.
IWA here in Puerto Rico continue to roll well. Unfortunately though, last week in Humacao, Huracan Castillo broke some bones in his foot and he will be out indefinetly. This accident did however, open up some spots in this past weekends shows which meant I got to work twice some nights. Now, for those who already know me realize I live for this. I have such a deep, intense, passionate love for this business and to work, that I relish the opportunity to work multiple times in one night. It's like an addiction I guess. Even when we do TV tapings here, I often get frustrated if I work less than 3 times in one night!! My goal is to condition my body to prepare for those long nights as well as to make sure all those matches are still of great quality. Now, I get response that the matches are good, but I want them to be great and that is something I will continue to strive for. As for the comapny, we are off until Thursday's TV tapings in Salinas. We are however, doing something with the MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association) tomorrow. I'm not sure what it is, but I think it will give me something to write about next week.
Music: A newe topic for me here! Will keep it short this time too. My all time favorite? Elvis Presley, the "King of rock n roll". However, my latest CD purchase was Kid Rock's "American Bad Ass". While I don't think it is as good as "Devil Without a Cause", there are some great songs on it, including "American Bad Ass" and "The Prodigal Son".
My social life continues to set ablaze the Puerto Rico nights and...... riiiiiiiight. I did see "Gone in 60 seconds" with Nicolas Cage and it was an entertaining movie. However, if it was a pick between that and "Road Trip" on what to go see, I would go with "Road Trip", especially if you were a fan of the movie "American Pie".... what, still want some juicy social gossip? Well, so do I!!!
Well, that is it for this week. Next time I will update you more on the happenings in the IWA here in PR, as well as start writing about the "saga" of Andy Anderson and how I was introduced to the world of professional wrestling/sports entertainment and how it brought me to where I am today. Again, if you have any feedback, comments or questions on me, this column or anything, please email me and I will do the best I can to accomadate. Until then, take care.
Arriba El Lobo!!!
